Don Duval

Don DuvalDon Duval is Chief Executive Officer of NORCAT, an organization dedicated to empowering its clients, staff and community partners to drive a culture of productivity, innovation and life-long learning. 

As an angel investor, former tech entrepreneur, university engineering professor and past executive at the MaRS Discovery District, he is passionate about being part of a team that embodies the true spirit of collaboration, excellence and innovation. In his various roles, he has demonstrated continued thought leadership by publishing articles and working with various jurisdictions on innovation policy, incubator strategies, commercialization and technology transfer programs, and models to enhance entrepreneurial and creative cultures.

Outside of his day-to-day activities, he serves as the Northern Ontario Chair of the Manning Innovation Awards and sits on the Board of JUMP Math, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) and Canadian Innovation Exchange. He serves as the Chair of the Sudbury Queen’s Alumni Association and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization – Toronto Chapter.  He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and a Master of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto.
